HIGHLIGHTS

Cappadocia is a world heritage site that offers a unique confluence of natural and cultural beauty.  The tour is a true adventure into the less-traveled and otherworldly landscape of Cappadocia, in the heart of Turkey.  

With an Enduro bike we will explore the vastness and beauty of the many wonders that await in Cappadocia.  We will visit the unique geological features called “fairy chimneys” that were formed from the soft volcanic ash that constitutes much of the rock formations in the area.  Ancient cultures dug into this soft stone to create Bronze Age dwellings and underground cities like Kaymakli and Derinkuyu, that was eventually used as hiding places by early Christians.  We will explore all of it with an Enduro bike.  

In addition, we will explore the sensational canyons and remote, towering peaks of this surreal landscape.  We will experience mountains with a height of up to 3,700 meters above sea level and travel along ancient cart roads and trade routes, some of which are so narrow that we will have to assist one another in getting the Enduros through.  This is a truly magical, once in a lifetime experience that will leave you wanting more.

Cappadocia Adventure Trail

DURATION AND ITINERARY

This tour lasts for 7 days, with 5 days of riding. The package includes 6 overnight stays including breakfast and dinner. There is no rest day during the stages of the trail. 

On the first day of riding we take a long ride from Aksaray to Nigde through the famous Ihlara Valley with a perfect lunch in super relaxed place at the river feeding the Ilhara Vallye. Overnight in Nigde..

The second day of the tour brings us on a round trip to the highest point of the tour in the Aladaglar Massive. We will try to go as much up as possible to reach the peaks in 3.700 meters depending on your level of riding. For the less experienced we have an alternative less exhausting route while the experts under us try to ride up a hiking path which can only be managed helping together in the group. 

The third day of the tour takes us to Göreme - the center of Cappadocia - riding over the highlands.

The fourth day is a relaxed day playing round in the sand rock formations for Göreme, a perfect day with a lot of fun testing the incredible grip in the sand rocks.

The fifth day of riding is a roundtrip visiting the famous Underground City of Derinkuyu which is a must to visit when you are in Cappadocia.

This tour is designed so that even novice riders and riders with medium level skills enjoy the tour. For the more advanced riders, we have longer daily stages and some nice hard enduro tracks so that everyone will be happy and tired in the evening.

The daily stages are divided so that we stop for lunch in a local inn and take breaks in between where we can relax and have a snack to rest and refuel our bodies.

The length of the daily stages are dependent on the level of rider skill and can be around 120 to 200 km long. We do provide an alternative route if riders become tired during the ride, either via gravel and asphalt road routes to the hotel.

This amazing Cappadocia Adventure Trail will occur as follows:

Day 1 
Arrival in Nevsehir Airport and transfer to the hotel for the first night in Aksaray (approx. 40 minutes), overnight in Aksaray

Day 2
Stage 1 to Nigde through the Ihlara valley

Day 3
Stage 2 roundtrip up the Aladaglar Massive

Day 4
Stage 3 riding back to Göreme over the Highlands

Day 5
Stage 4 relaxed playing in the sand rock formations in Göreme

Day 6
Stage 5 roundtrip to the Underground City of Derinkuyu

Day 7
Departure from Nevsehir Airport.

DIFFICULTY LEVEL

Our tour guides ensure that your riding level is accommodated during the rides - the difficulty can be easy to medium with extreme in the higher mountains. Beginners and less-capable riders have the option to shorten the distances of the stages, and to opt for small parts on gravel or small aphalt roads. We have different routes in place for less experienced and extreme riders. The second day in the Aladaglar Massive as well as the fifth day offers for all lovers of extreme Enduro the opportunity to test their skills and physical condition in the hot rocks of Cappadocia.

BEST TIME FOR THIS TRAIL

In Cappadocia, ideal weather conditions occur between May and October.

TRAVEL AND TRANSFERS

You will arrive to the Nevsehir Airport from where we pick you up and bring you to your hotel in Aksaray where we stay for the first night. During the stages we stay in hotels in Nigde and in Göreme. You will fall in love with the hotel and the amazing town of Göreme from the very first moment you arrive. The tour ends in Göreme.

ACCOMMODATION AND BOARD

We will stay in comfortable hotels. Breakfast is included. For lunch, we stop at restaurants on the way. For dinner you will love to explore the various restaurants and Kebabs in the city, you will find very fast your favourite place. On the arrival day and the 2 days in Nigde dinner is included. Drinks are not included.

MANAGEMENT OF THE TOUR

A tour manager will be available for the whole duration of this tour. Please turn to him regarding any questions, information, or issues.

MOTORBIKES, FUEL AND TYRES

On this tour, a rental bike and fuel are included. We have KTM and Husqvarna 2- and 4-stroke models available. All bikes are the latest models, professionally serviced, and in excellent condition. The bikes come with tires in good condition suitable for the ride with mousses and are equipped with closed rally guards, motor skid plate, and fan.

MOTORBIKE SERVICE

On this tour, a professional mechanic services the bikes, with the service car meeting the riders at the lunch point and in the evening (where accessible) to fuel up and perform repairs. A spare bike is available.

DAMAGES ON THE RENTAL BIKE

We do not charge for normal wear of the bike (like scratches on the plastics). On this tour an insurance (CDW – Crash ‘Damage Waiver) is available which covers damages on the bike. See the terms of business for details.

EQUIPMENT AND GEAR

Minimum Enduro gear includes a helmet, goggles, elbow protectors (we recommend a protector jacket), gloves, pants, knee protectors, and Enduro boots. For this tour a good rain jacket and a backpack with 2 liter of water is mandatory.
