HIGHLIGHTS

This six-day trail ride with four days of riding takes us on varied types of tracks through Macedonia, one of the most beautiful landscapes in Greece. We keep touching the beautiful beaches and views over the Aegean Sea with a permanent view of Mount Olympus with the 12 Greek gods. A highlight is the overnight stay on the island of Amouliani, to which we take the short ferry, the fish lunches on the beaches and the 30 km long ride on the sandy beach of Potamos.

WHY WE LIKE THIS TOUR

The daily stages are between 100 and 130 km long. The level of difficulty is tailored to beautiful and relaxed enduro riding. The tour is structured in such a way that we don't start too early in the morning and reach the midday point after about 3 hours and then the hotel in another three hours. We have enough time for lunch and a cozy get-together in the hotel in the evening to enjoy the tour.

DURATION AND ITINERARY

This trail lasts 6 days with 4 days of riding. The package includes 5 nights accommodation including breakfast. There are no days off during the raid phases.

On the first day of riding, we start from Panorama with a view over the roofs of Thessaloniki and Mount Olympus with the twelve gods in the north, cross the lake area with a ride in the reef belt and, after a long and varied ride, reach the Aegean Sea east of Chalkidiki. On this day we cover over 140 km of top riding performance.

On the second day of the tour we ride along the coast with detours into valleys inland to the island of Amouliani at the entrance to the Holy Mount Athos, where we take a short ferry. We stay in a hotel with a beautiful view of Athos.

The third day takes us from the island of Amouliani to Sithonia, the middle finger of Halkidiki, with views of the holy Mount Athos and over the mountains to our hotel in a small town in the backland. A really good ride.

The fourth and final day of the raid takes us through an old quarry and across the sandy beach of Potamos back to Panorama in Thessaloniki, where the tour ends. One last great ride.

The daily stages are divided so that we stop for lunch in a local inn and take breaks in between where we can relax and have a snack to rest and refuel our bodies.

The length of the daily stages are dependent on the level of rider skill and can be around 100 to 130 km long. We do provide an alternative route if riders become tired during the ride, either via short cuts or road routes to the hotel.

Day 1
Arrival and overnight in Panorama (Thessaloniki), Greece.

Day 2
Stage 1 through the reef belt of the lake area to the north east of Chalkidiki.

Day 3
Stage 2 to the Island of Amouliani.

Day 4
Stage 3 From Amouliani to Sithonia and a small mountain town in the backland.

Day 5
Stage 4 Riding through an old quarry and the long sandy beach of Potamos back to Panorama (Thessaloniki).

Day 6
Departure.

DIFFICULTY LEVEL

Our tour guides make sure that your driving level is taken into account during the trips - the difficulty level is easy to medium. This raid is perfect for beginners and less-capable riders. We have the option to shorten the distances of the stages, and to opt for small parts on gravel or small asphalt roads.

BEST TIME FOR THIS TRAIL

Ideal weather conditions occur between September and May.

TRAVEL AND HOTEL TRANSFER

The airport for arrival is THESSALONIKI. You take a taxi for the short drive to the hotel where the tour manager will welcome you. The raid returns to Thessaloniki.

ACCOMMODATION AND BOARD

You will spend the first and last night in the Panorama district with an enchanting view of the city of Thessaloniki, the Aegean Sea and Mount Olympus. For 3 nights during the stages you will stay in very good hotels with breakfast. For lunch we stop at restaurants along the way and for dinner we go to restaurants in the city or stay at the hotel. We leave dinner open and everyone can choose for themselves. A service car transports luggage between stages.

MANAGEMENT OF THE TOUR

A tour manager will be available for the whole duration of this tour. Please turn to him regarding any questions, information, or issues.

MOTORBIKES, FUEL AND TYRE

On this tour, a rental bike and fuel are included. We have KTM, GASGAS and Husqvarna 2 and 4-stroke models available. All bikes are the latest models, professionally serviced, and in excellent condition. The bikes come with tires in good condition suitable for the ride with mousses and are equipped with closed rally guards, motor skid plate, and fan.

MOTORBIKE SERVICE

On this tour, a professional mechanic services the bikes, with the service car meeting the riders in the evening at the hotel.

DAMAGES ON THE RENTAL BIKE

We do not charge for normal wear of the bike (like scratches on the plastics). On this tour an insurance (CDW – Crash ‘Damage Waiver) is available which covers damages on the bike. See the terms of business for details.

EQUIPMENT AND GEAR

Minimum Enduro gear includes a helmet, goggles, elbow protectors (we recommend a protector jacket), gloves, pants, knee protectors, and Enduro boots. For this tour a good rain jacket and a backpack with water are mandatory.

We recommend taking a second set of Enduro clothes with you.

PAYMENT CONDITIONS 

Deposit 1.000 EUR at booking, the balance is required 60 days before tour start.
